For almost 20 years, Foresters has worked closely with Children's Miracle Network, providing underwriting support for fund raising Radiothons around the world and now sponsoring the Champions Across the United Kingdom program. A large part of Foresters' identity is directly tied to its partnership with Children's Miracle Network, and intimately associated with these projects is Bernard E. Bloom.

While attending the Children's Miracle Network Celebration as the member representative for Foresters, Bernard was introduced to the works of Children's Miracle Network and CEO Jim Hall. When Children's Miracle Network was looking to grow internationall--specifically to the United Kingdo--Bernard was consulted about expanding Children's Miracle Network abroad. Bloom, known for his enthusiasm and love for children, was so excited about this expansion that he soon became a member of the Board of Governors/Trustees of Children's Miracle Network in the United Kingdom.

Bloom is also currently serving as international fraternal president and is on the Foresters Board of Directors. In 1962, Bloom began his association with Foresters and has continued to climb the ranks ever since, holding various branch and regional council officer positions. A true humanitarian, Bloom was also chairman of the U.K. Regional Councils' Benevolent Fund and served as chairman and chief executive of the Foresters' Fund for Children from 1997 to 2003. His affinity for philanthropic cause--particularly those that relate to childre--keep him enthusiastic about serving Children's Miracle Network wherever he can.
